Clinical Staff


Sabrina Isenhour, MA, LPCA/Clinical Administrator

Sabrina holds an MA in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte. She is provisionally licensed by the state of North Carolina as an LPC-A. Additionally, Sabrina is Prepare/Enrich Certified to work with couples in pre-marital or marital counseling settings. Sabrina has had experience in the areas of depression, anxiety, life transitions, crisis counseling and acute care. She has worked with both adult and adolescent populations in individual and group settings. Sabrina also serves in the role of Clinical Administrator. She is responsible for tracking referrals, caseloads for each client, and Client Satisfaction Surveys.

Prior to joining the RPM team, Sabrina gained experience at Presbyterian Counseling Center, Moses Cone Behavioral Health Center, as well as serving as a Counselor Intern for 9 months at Restoration Place. We are delighted to officially add her to the staff at RPM.


Barbara Vaughan, M.Ed., LPC, NCC

Barbara Vaughan graduated in 1989 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a Masters degree in Education in Counseling and Development. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of North Carolina, as well as a National Certified Counselor. Prior to taking time off to raise her children and care for aging family members, Barbara worked as a counselor at Hope Counseling Center in Sayville, NY, and as Clinical Director and Counselor at Colonial Youth and Family Services in Mastic Beach, NY. Her clinical experience has included individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention counseling, and adventure-base counseling.

In addition to her professional work, Barbara has volunteered in a variety of worthwhile endeavors, including the facilitation of grief and loss discussions through KIDS PATH of Greensboro Hospice; presenting teen parenting programs at High Point Regional; and volunteering with the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India.


Sheri Peachey, MA, LPC, NCC

Sheri Peachey earned a BS in Organizational Management from Colorado Christian University in 2000, and an MA in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs in 2002. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina and is a National Certified Counselor as well. Sheri’s clinical experience includes individual, couples, and family therapy; teaching parenting classes using “Love and Logic”; and providing pre-marital counseling using Prepare and Enrich. In addition, Sheri enjoys facilitating “Boundaries” and “Codependency” groups, and she is a member of the American Counseling Association.


Katherine B. Judd, MA, LPCA

Katherine received her Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and her Master of Arts degree in Expressive Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Katherine is trained to incorporate the arts, such as creative writing, drama or visual art, into more traditional therapy methods to enhance the counseling process and to offer alternative ways of expressing emotions. She has experience working with adults who suffer primarily from anxiety and depression and adolescents who struggle with ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, and behavior problems.


Kristin Franks, LPCA, NCC

Kristin graduated from Loyola University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She is provisionally licensed by the state of North Carolina and is also a Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified Christian Life Coach. Prior to joining RPM, she spent time counseling at Rodgers Christian Counseling in Charlotte, NC. Additionally, Kristin has received extensive training on how to serve people in developing nations. She has a special passion to bring the love of God to people who are hurting all around the world. She has traveled to five different nations with her last trip being to Costa Rica, where she lived for three months advocating for human trafficking victims. She furthered this work as a Client Consultant in the Anti-Trafficking program at World Relief in High Point, NC.

Kristin has a deep passion to counsel women from all walks of life and to help them live whole, healed, and purpose-filled lives. Her areas of interest and expertise in counseling include depression and anxiety, trauma, couples and pre-marital (certified in Prepare and Enrich), conflict management, and maintaining healthy relationships.


Eleanor L. Herman, MA, LPCA, NCC

Ellie Herman is a Licensed Professional Associate and National Certified Counselor. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Elon University and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. Her clinical and classroom experience in treating mental health issues includes depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, behavioral addictions and eating disorders, adolescent issues and relationship concerns. However, over the past year, Ellie has received concentrated experience in, and has developed a deep passion for, counseling women struggling with behavioral addictions specific to disordered eating. She clearly understands the cycle of addiction, stages of change, and the effects trauma often have on body image and eating patterns. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from nutritionists and physicians from the Eating Recovery Center, a leader in the nation for eating disorder treatment.

One of her strengths is that she understands the healing power encompassed in a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Gestalt Therapy, Ellie offers a versatile experience for the client. Congruent with her personality and passions, she also offers art techniques as a form of creative expression and introspection in therapy. It is important to Ellie that clients have input in the style of their personal therapy experience, which will lead to a more unique recovery and journey in personal growth. Ellie finds great joy in offering a holistic approach to health and recovery through a practical focus on the connectedness between body, mind and spirit.


Susan Sutton Henkel, M.S., LPCA, NCC

Susan Sutton Henkel earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in North Carolina and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Susan has worked with couples, families, and individuals across the lifespan, and utilizes a variety of wellness-oriented approaches to meet the needs of each unique client. Her training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) enables her to help couples move into a place of intimacy and emotional safety. As a certified fitness instructor, Susan is able to incorporate nutrition and physical health components of wellness into applicable client concerns. Susan’s clinical experience includes, but is not limited to, trauma, self-esteem and identity issues, intimacy and relationship struggles, depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, stress management, personality disorders, life transitions and developmental concerns, and grief/loss. Additional interests include eating disorders, art therapy, and yoga/breathwork.

Having grown up overseas, in Africa and Europe, Susan has a passion for diversity and helping counseling become accessible to under-reached populations. She is a certified SafeZone Ally through UNCG’s Wellness Center. Susan loves being able to walk with clients into their hard places within a safe, judgment-free therapeutic relationship, helping them to find hope and overcome their deepest struggles.


Liz Newton, Counselor Intern

Liz is a candidate for the Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, with plans to pursue her LPC in the state of North Carolina. She has completed all course work and has passed both parts of the Comprehensive Exam required for graduation. Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Counseling and Bible Theology from John Wesley College. She has previous experience providing individual, couples and group therapy at Presbyterian Counseling Center and has worked with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, marital issues, adjustment to various life experiences, and personality disorders. Liz also has knowledge and understanding in working with adolescents as well as children and parenting aspects. Liz is married to Zeb Newton. While in the intern position, Liz is under the administrative supervision of Cindy Mondello, LPC and clinical supervision of Barbara Vaughan, LPC.
